That year, the song peaked at the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100. So if you like parody´s I highly suggest the Voltron parody of Hey There Delilah it´s called ¨Hey There Keith¨ and it´s a fanmade song for the ship Keith X Lance ships aside the song itself is emotional like the song Hey There Delilah. On May 8th, 2006, The Plain White T's released their single "Hey There Delilah." On January 26th, 2007, the official music video was posted on YouTube by HollywoodRecordsVEVO and gained over 70.4 million views in 13 years (shown below). All that is to say that the Hey There Delilah Voltron parody has a similar level of emotion as the original song Hey There Delilah by the band plain white t´s and both of them the original and that parody made me cry so much because the level of emotion in both of them. It also said that Lance was ¨still stuck inside the Garrison¨ as if that place is like a strict boot camp or prison and the lyrics even say ¨Hey there, Keith, won´t you come back soon please come back soon.¨ One of the lines from the parody says ¨Hey there, Keith why´d you always look straight through me? I know I'm not good at stuff, but that´s no reason to be so alone.¨ Lance is saying that he misses Keith and wishes he was still there with him and things wouldn´t be so bad if he was there. The only way to silence Keith would´ve been to expel him and as it says in the parody that made Lance feel sad and begin to miss Keith and his ¨stupid mullet¨. Someone from the Garrison said ¨Keith flunked out because of behavioral issues¨, but if he was getting too close to the truth behind what the Garrison was covering up then it makes sense they would want to ¨take care of that¨ as the parody states. ![]() To me hey there Delilah is a sad song but I enjoy the lyrics, and I saw someone´s fan-made parody of the song where they made it fit with the Voltron legendary defender show where it´s like Lance is singing to Keith about how much he misses him and how he thinks something is off at the Garrison and Keith knew that and that is why they kicked him out and for me hearing that parody it made me think maybe they are hiding something.
